My GMC occasionally comes up with  "Service trailer brake system, service 4 wheel drive system, service ABS brakes" on the dash display. Have had it to dealer and while the faults show up in computer, they say no cause can be found. Nothing is found wrong with the wiring, brakes or ABS. Had my own mechanic check too and he found no problem. Comes and goes with or without the 5th connected. Wondering if anyone else has had or heard about this problem and knows what was done to fix the issue.

The only things I've read about which might affect those items are:

Oversized tires.  For some reason the sensors get confused when you put larger tires or different sizes on the vehicle and throws similar codes.

Bad ground in the trailer brake wiring.  I'm not sure I've ever seen this associated with four wheel drive though.

Sorry, my advice is find a better dealer.   Smiley
