Author Topic: Location of trailer lights wiring?  (Read 184 times)

Does anyone know where the tail light and brake light wiring is routed through the rear of the Cameo?  I put a receiver hitch on my Cameo and want to put a 4-wire connector at the rear.

I stuck my head up into the basement through the zippered entrance and didn't see it.  I'm hoping it's not in the attic.

I really don't want to run 40' of wiring under and through the coach to the hitch pin just to get lights at the rear.  I thought I might be able to drop some new wires down through the rear cap from the trailer lights themselves, but when I removed the lens, I couldn't figure out how to remove the lights.  Anyone know how those lights come out?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.   Smiley

I got the lights out but couldn't figure out how to get to the wiring . Ended up running a 4-flat ribbon to the hitch pin along the under belly, up thru the front compartment, and did fish it thru to the hitch pin junction box

I finally figured it out.  The wiring runs along the roof rafters to the rear then drops down to the curbside tail/brake light.  Then, there is a harness which crosses to the streetside tail/brake light.  I probably just should have done what you did Kerry.
